One would think that this almost goes without saying, but often the message that expectant mothers contemplating abortion hear is that we love their babies with no word about the mothers themselves. While it is true that the mothers are indeed loved, the message isn't being heard. Adopt-A-Mom is a way to clearly state that message. While we need to protect the innocent lives of unborn children, we also must do all we can to help the mothers that carry them. Most of the women at risk for an abortion lack either the financial or emotional resources to have a baby, often times both. Most often, the fathers are either not in the picture or of little help lacking the maturity themselves. These moms need support, love, and encouragement as well as a leg up on the needs to bring a baby into the home. Our goal is to help these moms and share the love of Jesus with them. By helping them connect with a local church and providing some of the items they will need to start raising a child, we give them hope and help build relationships that will help them build a life for themselves and their children.
